Lessons From geese
Our Business Philosophy:
Lessons From Geese
FACT 1:
As each goose flaps its wings it creates an "uplift" for the birds that follow. By flying in a "V" formation, the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.
LESSON:
At Wyngarden Lending, we realize that people who share a common direction and sense of community can get to where they are going much quicker and easier because we are traveling on the thrust and encouragement of one another.
FACT 2:
When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.
LESSON:
Just like geese, we stay in formation with those who are headed to where we want to go. We are willing to accept their help and give our help to others.
FACT 3:
When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into formation and another goose flies to the point position.
LESSON:
We have an exceptional team of people here at Wyngarden Lending who are interdependent on each other’s skills, capabilities, talents, resources and unique abilities. It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership. We also love the fact that our clients get involved in the process with us and take on their own leadership responsibilities.
FACT 4:
The geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.
LESSON:
We have found that on our team here at Wyngarden Lending, our encouragement of each other and our clients makes our production much greater. The power of encouragement (and standing by one's core values and encourage the core values of others) is the quality of “honking” we encourage here at Wyngarden Lending.
FACT 5:
When a goose gets sick, wounded or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it to help and protect it. They stay with it until it is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.
LESSON:
While we are always looking for potential “pot holes” in the road ahead so that we can safely navigate around them, life doesn’t always go as planned. At Wyngarden Lending we understand that there may be bumps in the road, but we are here to stand by each other in difficult times as well as when we are strong. And our relationship with you doesn’t end at the closing table...we are here for you before, during and after the entire process - we want to be your lender for life.
My family and I love the outdoors and spend much of our free time enjoying all the beauty that Colorado has to offer. So much can be learned if we open our eyes to the natural world around us. When I started in the business I learned early on that getting clients involved in the process and building a strong team of “high flyers” was going to be our key to success. We have adapted the Lessons From Geese philosophy to our business and would love to have you become a part of our growing flock.
